Miranchuk’s agent doesn’t know if footballer can play against Iran
Vadim Shpinev, agent of Torino midfielder Alexei Miranchuk, told RB Sport that it is too early to talk about the participation of the Russian footballer in a friendly match with Iran.
On Sunday, it was announced that Valery Karpin’s team would play a friendly match against the Iranians on March 23 in Tehran.
– Will Alexey be able to play? I do not know yet. Plans to hold this match have just been announced, so it’s too early to talk about the possible participation of Miranchuk,” Shpinev said.
At the end of February 2022, FIFA and UEFA suspended Russian teams and clubs from participating in international tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine. After these decisions, Valery Karpin’s team played three guest friendly matches in the fall: with the national teams of Kyrgyzstan (2:1), Tajikistan (0:0) and Uzbekistan (0:0).
Miranchuk, 27, has made 17 Serie A appearances this season, scoring 4 goals and 4 assists.
