The owner of Krasnodar, Sergei Galitsky, did a lot for the development of football in Russia, Yury Zhuravlev, a pupil of Kuban, who now plays for Torpedo, told RB Sport.
Galitsky created Krasnodar on February 22, 2008. Since that moment, the team has become the bronze medalist of the Russian Championship three times.
