The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has extended the contract with the head coach of the national team, Lionel Scaloni, according to the press service of the South American team.
The new agreement with the 44-year-old specialist runs until 2026.
After the end of the World Cup victorious for the Argentines in Qatar, the head of the AFA, Claudio Tapia, announced the signing of a new contract with Scaloni.
Scaloni became the acting head coach of the Argentina national team in August 2018, and was approved in November of the same year. Under the leadership of Scaloni, the Blue and White won the 2022 World Cup, the America’s Cup, and also defeated the European champions of Italy in the Finalissima match. Previously, the coach was part of the Sevilla headquarters.
