Messi named FIFA Player of the Year

The International Football Federation (FIFA) at the ceremony named the leader of the Argentina national team Lionel Messi the player of the year.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced the Player of the Year.
France strikers Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe were also nominated for the award.
Messi has won the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the Argentina national team. The striker was recognized as the best player of the tournament.
The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022 ceremony took place on Monday in Paris and was broadcast on the Match TV channel, as well as on matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
