Fans of Real Madrid called the footballer of the club a monkey and demanded to leave

Real Madrid defender David Alaba has been subjected to racist abuse after voting for the FIFA World Player of the Year award.
The Austrian in the voting chose the best Argentine PSG striker Lionel Messi, who previously played for Barcelona. With his choice, Alaba angered Real Madrid fans, who began to write comments on the player’s page, comparing him to a monkey and urging him to leave the club. Fans under the last publication of Alaba in one of the social networks left almost 25 thousand comments, most of which are angry.
Messi was voted Footballer of the Year. Paris Saint-Germain’s French striker Kylian Mbappe finished second, while Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema rounded out the top three.
The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022 ceremony was broadcast live on the Match TV channel. Representatives of Real Madrid refused to come to the event due to resentment for Vinicius Junior, who was not included in the symbolic team of the year.
