Pliev explained the failure of Zakharyan’s transfer to Galatasaray for political reasons

Homeland defender Zaurbek Pliev said that the transfer of Dynamo midfielder Arsen Zakharyan to Galatasaray failed for political reasons.
In the winter transfer window, the media reported on the possible transfer of 19-year-old Zakharyan to the Turkish Galatasaray, but the transfer did not take place.
– If not for the political situation, I think that the transition to Galatasaray would be a good step for him. Still, the team is leading in its championship and can get into European competition. But given the political situation and his Armenian roots, it would be difficult for him to adapt and play there. There would be a lot of pressure on him.
Therefore, unfortunately, the transfer fell through, although Arsene was on the verge of a transfer. But at the last moment, he thought it over and refused, – Metaratings.ru quoted Pliev as saying.
