Spartak defender Daniil Khlusevich does not believe that midfielder Mikhail Ignatov violated the rules in the match against Lokomotiv in the ¼ final of the FONBET Cup of Russia.
In the 56th minute, Ignatov took the ball away from Lokomotiv defender Nair Tiknizyan, which led to the second goal of the Red-Whites against the railroad workers. The meeting ended with a score of 4:2 in favor of the Red-Whites.
– A lot of controversy was caused by the episode with Ignatov before the second goal of Spartak. What do you think, was there a violation?
“I was standing far enough away, so, honestly, I can’t say for sure. From my point of view, there seemed to be nothing. The referee saw the same thing,” Khlusevich told Sport24.
The head of the press service of Lokomotiv, Artem Zagumennov, told Match TV that the club had sent an appeal to the RFU ESC with a request to evaluate several episodes in the second leg against Spartak.
