Russia’s sports ministry has refused to help Spartak obtain Russian citizenship for the striker Quincy Promise. The reporter reported it Ivan Karpovwho turned to the Ministry of Sport for comments, where he was answered:

The football club “Spartak-Moscow” sent a letter to the Ministry of Sports of Russia on assistance in obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation to citizen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Quincy Anton Promes in the manner prescribed by the Federal Law “On Citizenship of the Russian Federation”.

During the study of this issue, together with the relevant organizations, the Ministry of Sports of Russia decided to refuse FC “Spartak-Moscow” in the direction of the application for the granting of citizenship of the Russian Federation to Quincy Anton Promes.

According to the journalist, the refusal, served on Spartak at the end of December, was due to the fact that MY told the sports ministry that Promes is accused in a criminal case in the Netherlands.
