Barcelona suffered more than they should have, but eventually added another three points to his account and now leads Real Madrid by 10 points on his way to the title. With a missed penalty and a dismissal, the Catalans narrowly beat Valencia, who continue in a difficult position.
The match had only one scorer: Raphinha. The Brazilian latched on to Sergio Busquets’ cross in the box, waiting for goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili to head home to add his fifth goal of the season.
Already in the second half, a hand from a defender of the team Che led to penalty missed by Ferran Torrescrashing the ball into the right standing position of the goalkeeper Giorgis. Ronald Araujo, a few minutes later, was sent off due to a grab on Hugo Duro that only got away in front of Marc ter Stegen. Valencia tried, but without much risk and with one less, Barca finally managed to get the win.
