The sports director of Orenburg, Dmitry Andreev, told RB Sport how striker Vladimir Sychevoi appeared in the team, noting that at first no one could have imagined that he would enter the WORLD RPL scorers race.

In winter, the striker moved from Orenburg to Samara’s Wings of the Soviets and changed his last name to Pisarsky. In 18 rounds, the football player scored 14 goals and is one of the top scorers of the RPL this season.

– We had a game with Omsk “Irtysh”, – said Andreev. – Marcel led the team, I was in the VIP. We look: some boy rushes about, runs behind his back, opens, hits. It is clear that we dominated, but at that moment we were just looking for an attacker. After the game, I went up to Marcel and said: “What do you think about the guy?” He replied, “I liked it.” That winter, we failed to agree on a transition, so we took Dimka Vorobyov. He helped us a lot and went to Sochi in the summer. Then we tightened up the situation with Sychev.

At first, it was very difficult for him to enter: he does not have a school, he did everything that did not concern the attacker. (Laughs). But it’s okay, he did a great job – he worked, suffered, endured. Now I’ve got results.

– Not bad, he got in shape in a season and a half.

– More than that, I’ll say: when we entered the RPL, we gathered in Turkey in the summer, and we had 15 people left in the team. Marin and Mansilla arrived disassembled. We play a friendly match – Sychevoi played so that the guys came and asked: “Who will score with you?” Then Dimka Vorobyov returned. And no one could even imagine that Sychevoi would be in the scorers race.

He started the championship on the bench. Then he scored three goals against Ural. After this euphoria, of course, he failed the game with Spartak. Marcel then said: “I knew that it would be so, but I could not help putting it.” Then Vova rolled and caught his wave.

– Vladimir Obukhov said that Sychevo thinks very outside the box.

– Sychevoi took a lot from yard football, where boys of different ages meet. He grew up there, was brought up and went through a kind of football school. In the yard, he played with guys from different classes – it’s not like with peers, in any case he will have to get out there. If an uncle twice as big as you plays with you, then you need to come up with something, otherwise you will sit on the bench.

It gives a lot to the player. Therefore, Sychevy has a lot of non-standard decisions, good coordination, speed, performance skills, dribbling. In training, it happened like this: a four-on-four lesson, at the moment you need to play in a certain way, and he just goes to four in an incomprehensible slalom and scores. Or remember his goal against the Urals: a cutting pass, it opens up behind the backs of the defenders, it is covered. In such an episode, any attacker from the left foot hits the far lower or near upper corner, which is what the defender is waiting for. And Vova makes a swing, steps over and picks the ball into the goal with his left foot. And he has a lot of heads. This is his advantage.

On March 10, Orenburg will go on a visit to Sochi. The start is at 19:00 Moscow time. Krylya Sovetov will play CSKA away on March 14 at 16:30 Moscow time.
