The Dutch defender of Krylia Sovetov Glenn Bale told RB Sport that he is not currently considering the possibility of obtaining Russian citizenship.
— You run your telegram channel in Russian. How hard is it?
— Blogging in Russian is quite difficult for me, but it is very interesting for me. Sometimes, of course, I use a translator on my phone or with the help of friends. Evgeny Frolov helps me a little, he has excellent English. But mostly I try to do everything myself, I like it.
– Many might think that you are actively learning Russian because you are going to get Russian citizenship.
No, it’s not related. Do I want to get a Russian passport? It’s too early to talk about it yet. As far as I know, for this I need to play in Russia for 5 years. Now I don’t think about obtaining Russian citizenship. No one offered me to make a passport, there was nothing like that.
Bale, 27, joined Wings of the Soviets in 2021. This season he has made 25 appearances in all competitions, scoring 1 goal and providing 2 assists.
