Spartak midfielder Anton Zinkovsky, who is a graduate of the Chertanovo Academy, said that he was in touch with the convicted ex-director of his native club, Nikolai Larin.
In September, Moscow’s Zamoskvoretsky Court sentenced 49-year-old Larin to three years in prison for fraud. Larin, who headed the Chertanovo Academy from 2008 to 2021, according to investigators, overestimated the number of academy students in order to obtain additional funding.
– There is a connection with Larin. He was recently transported from Moscow: now they have returned him, he can read our letters and respond. I recently spoke to him on the phone for five minutes. He said that where he was transported, the conditions were worse. But now he’s back, in time for the Krylia Cup match. And I also watched the Spartak match.
Nikolai Yuryevich does not lose heart, and we let him do this. In Moscow, he feels better. He has already got used to it, so to speak, – Zinkovsky said to the “Championship”.
