ESC RFS extension made decisions on two episodes of the 18th round match RPL between Akhmat and Orenburg (3:1). The bout was served by a team of referees led by Yevgeny Turbin.
1. The referee correctly counted the goal of the Orenburg team in the 11th minute of the match.
The decision of the ESC is motivated by the fact that the video recording angles of this game episode at the disposal of the commission do not allow to accurately determine the geographical position of the forward of the Akhmat team No. 59 Evgenia Kharinawho scored a goal against the opposing team, in relation to the penultimate player of the defending team “Orenburg” No. 3 Mikhail Shivakov.
For this reason, the commission cannot argue that the decision of the first assistant on the absence of an offside position was obviously wrong, and therefore supports the decision to count the goal of the Orenburg team, and the VAR did not intervene in this situation.
2. The referee incorrectly awarded an 11-metre kick and issued a second warning in the match to the player of team no. 3 from Orenburg Mikhail Sivakov in the 43rd minute of the match.
The decision of the ESC is motivated by the fact that the majority of the members of the commission did not see a violation of the rules in the actions of the Orenburg player, who stepped on the knee area of the player of the Akhmat team No. 11 Lechi Sadulaeva after a duel with him for the ball, since the defender made a natural running movement, having eye contact with the ball, and not with an opponent whose foot was in the defender’s line of motion and the contact between them was inevitable and accidental.
Most of the members of the commission did not see either recklessness or malicious intent in the actions of the Orenburg player and, therefore, consider contact with an opponent to be unpunished.
