Former England striker Gary Lineker compared the current British government policy on illegal immigration to Nazi-era German rhetoric.
The UK’s Conservative government intends to ban asylum applications for all illegal immigrants. Human rights organizations and the United Nations said such a law would make the UK an international criminal under European and UN asylum conventions.
– That’s just terrible. We accept far fewer refugees than other major European countries. This is just an immeasurably brutal policy directed against the most vulnerable people in a language that is no different from the one used by Germany in the 30s, Lineker wrote on social networks.
