The Russian referee Sergey Karasev spoke about the discrepancies on the admission of the struggle in the penalty area and in the center of the field, noting that the judges began to react less to the struggle for position with their hands in the middle of the field.
– You may have noticed that recently the management has begun to require us to allow us to play more. Now even in the middle of the field they don’t whistle for some kind of fight with their hands for a position. Not every push is a violation of the rules. They say that we have a lot of fouls, but I like to follow the statistics. The league average is 18-22 fouls per game. We are in this range. And the higher the level of martial arts, the less discrepancies in interpretations in the penalty area and in the center of the field. And you also need to work with the players, approach them in the penalty area before the standards. To remind you that there is VAR, that there is nothing to hide – the players sometimes forget about it because of their emotions, – Karasev told the “Championship”.
