The head of the refereeing committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Pavel Kamantsev, admitted that the referee Vitaly Meshkov was not appointed to the matches of the 19th round of the MIP RPL due to mistakes and a low score in the match of the last round of the Russian Championship between Spartak and Ural.
The game was held on March 4 at the Otkritie Bank Arena and ended with a score of 2:2. At the 86th minute of the meeting, Meshkov did not count the goal of Spartak Alexander Sobolev.

On Thursday, referees and inspectors for the matches of the 19th round of the WORLD RPL were announced. Meshkov’s surname was not among the officials.
– This situation is absolutely standard. We have always said that good and bad grades affect the appointment, their number. Vitali has one uncorrected error (due to an early whistle), also a penalty error, which was corrected by VAR. Two key bugs, one of which is uncorrected, that’s a pretty low score.
For the 19th round, judges who had a higher score, who was higher in the rating, received appointments.
This situation is similar to that of Vladimir Moskalev, who made a mistake in the Zenit-Spartak match, and other referees earlier, Kamantsev told Match TV.
