RFU reached a preliminary agreement with Iraq on holding a friendly match in St. Petersburg

The Russian Football Union (RFU) has reached a preliminary agreement with the Iraqi Football Federation on holding a friendly match between national teams, Match TV reports.
It is expected that the match between the national teams of Russia and Iraq will take place on March 26 in St. Petersburg at the Gazprom Arena.
– Preliminary agreements on the match have been reached, the game is scheduled for March 26 in St. Petersburg. We want the national team, after a long break, to play with their fans in the most comfortable weather conditions for this time of year, so that as many of them as possible can come. Therefore, they offered the Iraqi side to hold a match at the Gazprom Arena on Sunday, – Match TV quotes a message from the RFU communications service.
As Match TV previously reported, the RFU and the Iranian Football Federation agreed to hold a friendly match of national teams on March 23 in Tehran.
