Spartak has practically no chances for the championship this season, according to ex-football player of the Red-Whites Yuri Gavrilov.
– Eight points is too much, I think that Spartak has practically no chances. But we must admit that this season they are playing great. It will be very difficult to impose a fight on Zenit. But there are still 12 matches ahead, everything can be. The main thing is that Spartak should not lose their points, in theory everything is possible. Zenit is now playing very confidently, but everyone has misfires. There will be intrigue until the last round, ”Gavrilov told RB Sport.
Since the summer of 2022, Spartak has been headed by Spaniard Guillermo Abascal. Under his leadership, the Moscow team takes second place in the WORLD standings of the Russian Premier League, gaining 37 points in 18 matches.
