Former striker of the Russian national team Dmitry Sychev believes that forward Alexander Kokorin can still help the national team.
Kokorin played his last match for the Russian national team in November 2017 under Stanislav Cherchesov. At that time, the footballer played for Zenit. In total, the striker, who will turn 32 on March 19, has 48 matches for the national team, 12 goals and 6 assists.
– Kokorin, it seems to me, did not say his last word in the national team. If he continues to play at a good level, it will come in handy. We’ve had trouble with attackers lately. Alexander overcame the slump that lasted at Fiorentina. Looking at what he shows in the Cypriot Championship for Aris, I can say that he can be of benefit to the national team. Alexander, unfortunately, did not realize his talent. Everyone expected more from him. In terms of talent and skill, he could have had a much brighter career, ”Sport24 quotes Sychev.
