Kuznetsov: “The match with Iraq is a step forward in relation to Russia”
The national football teams of Iran and Iraq are good teams for sparring, according to former CSKA footballer Dmitry Kuznetsov.
As Match TV previously reported, the RFU and the Iranian Football Federation agreed to hold a friendly match between national teams on March 23 in Tehran. The Russian team will play against Iraq in St. Petersburg on March 26.
– It’s great that we will play with Iraq – this is a step forward in relation to Russia.
We are already organizing friendly games, albeit not with European teams. Iran and Iraq are good teams for sparring, Kuznetsov told the Championship.
