The head coach of Khimki near Moscow, Spartak Gogniev, believes that one of the reasons for the defeat of the Red-Blacks from Zenit St. Petersburg in the match of the 19th round of the MIR of the Russian Premier League (RPL) was a large amount of non-football attention to the team.
On Sunday, Khimki lost to Zenit 2-3 away.

– For this time and the team that we have, this is a normal game, we need to move on from it. After two goals, we were let go, the substitutions intensified. There were swings. We are satisfied with the game, and the result is “as usual”. A lot of non-football attention is riveted to the team. Maybe this game will give more reasons to talk about football. I think that today we did not concede in the game. The most important thing is that in the added 5 minutes, Zenit did not give up the ball, this is saying something. We forced Zenit to play for time.
Any player is pressured by the position at the bottom of the standings. Wherever the team is located, we are primarily in the RPL. We must pay tribute to the team and talk more about the positive, – Gogniev is quoted by Match TV.
Khimki is 15th in the Russian Championship standings with 13 points.
