The Russian national team will take part in the first championship of the Central Asian Football Federation (CAFA). This was stated by the press secretary of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Faridun Saliev.
The Russian national team will take part in the first Central Asian Football Federation (CAFA) championship with the participation of men’s national teams, which will be held from June 9 to 21 this year.
All six members of the football federation have given their confirmation to participate in the CAFA-2023 championship among national teams: Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
Furthermore, CAFA has invited one of the Asian national teams to participate in the new tournament.
