The defender of the Turkish club “Antalyaspor” Fedor Kudryashov told “Match TV” that he did not think about returning to the Russian national team.
Kudryashov played his last match as part of the national team in 2021, when, as part of the 2022 World Cup qualifying round, he played in an away match against the Croatian national team (0: 1). The outcome of the meeting was decided by Kudryashov’s own goal. Shortly before the decisive moment, the defender was injured, but continued to play.
– This stage is over for me, closed. It is a pity that on such a note. It’s already gone and it can’t be changed. I think the team has not lost anything from the fact that I’m gone. Maybe just purchased? I hope so (laughs).
The first two hours were tough after the match against the Croats. The night was already normal. It was hard, then partners, relatives, relatives – everyone supported me. The coach (Valery Karpin) also supported.
And there are much more important topics and thoughts than thinking about who and what thinks at the mention of my last name, ”the Match TV website quotes Kudryashov.
As part of the Russian national team, 35-year-old Kudryashov played 48 matches and scored one goal.
