Balakhnin doubts the prospects of “Rostov” to get into the top three winners of the RPL season

Former Rostov head coach Sergei Balakhnin does not believe in the team’s medal prospects this season WORLD RPL.

On Sunday, Rostov defeated PARI NN at home with a score of 2:1. After 19 rounds, Rostovites are in third place with 38 points. The closest pursuers are Dynamo Moscow and CSKA, which have 32 points each.

– The games in the cup and the championship showed that Rostov is not in its best functional condition, to put it mildly. The game is not very good, yesterday I was once again convinced of this. As such, Rostov does not have a game. The match with PARI NN was a draw. Both teams showed not very interesting football. This was facilitated by the ugly quality of the field, so it all came down to simplification, there was a lot of struggle. Some kind of creative game was not enough, – Balakhnin is quoted by RB Sport.

– Will Rostov remain in the top three with such a game?

– The team has a small gap, they can catch on. If something in Rostov’s game doesn’t change, it will be difficult to stay in third place.

– That is, you don’t expect a fight with Spartak for second place?

– No. With the first place, everything is clear, and Spartak looks preferable to all candidates for second place.
