Bayramyan happy that Tiknizyan chose the Armenian national team

Rostov midfielder Khoren Bayramyan positively assessed the decision of Lokomotiv footballer Nair Tiknizyan to play for the Armenian national team.
– Tiknizyan in the Armenian national team. Satisfied with such naturalization?
Is this naturalization? He’s not Brazilian, not Uruguayan! He has an Armenian surname, Armenian roots. I think he had that choice. And I am glad that such a quality player has chosen the Armenian national team!
– Edgar Sevikyan played against you yesterday. What about him?
– I’ll be happy too! Let all [армяне] go to the team [Армении]. I wished him luck and said, “If he chooses [Армению] and they will call him – we will only be glad! Bayramyan told Sport24.
Tiknizyan previously played for the Russian national teams U19 (5 matches), U20 (4 matches) and U21 (7 matches), but at the adult level he decided to play for the Armenian national team – the 23-year-old football player received a call-up for the upcoming EURO 2024 qualifier against the national team Turkey.
