Any result in the match of the 19th round of the WORLD RPL Zenit – Khimki would be fair, striker Nikolai Orlov, who played in the USSR championship for Zenit and Dynamo, told Euro-Futbol.Ru.
Zenit beat Khimki at home in the 19th round of the WORLD RPL with a score of 3:2. The hosts midfielder Gustavo Mantuan scored the winning goal in the 90+1st minute.
– Which match on the tour did you like the most?
– Zenit – Khimki. It was just a great match. Although almost everyone just said before the game that Peter would win without any problems with a difference of two or three, or even four goals.
– What did you like most about this match?
— I would divide this game into three parts. It was sort of a trilogy. Everything turned out like in a very interesting and exciting movie about two boxers.
– Describe each part. What did you see?
– In the first part, the favorite, who was initially considered stronger and more experienced, began to systematically beat his opponent. He immediately indicated his advantage, beat-beat, it seemed, finished off. In the second part, the one who was weaker perked up, managed not to let himself be completely killed, and then he himself began to beat the strongest. And the third part is the climax. The weak opponent already believed in himself so much that he ran to finish off, but unexpectedly missed a smashing blow in the last round and fell into a knockout.
– Now let’s decipher it in football interpretation …
– In the first half, Zenit put pressure, attacked well and habitually, scored a relatively quick goal. In the second half, the hosts continued their game, organized another ball. It seemed like the game was over. This is the final part of the first part. Then the second part begins, when Khimki resurrected, fought back, equalized the score. Well, the third part is the climax. Gogniev’s team ran in the end even for victory, set fire to Kerzhakov’s penalty area, but ran into and missed Mantua’s knockout blow.
Would a draw be a fair outcome?
– Here any result would be fair and would not cause me any complaints. Would have ended in a draw or even Khimki would have scored the third goal and won – all three outcomes looked quite natural.
