Russian goalkeeper “Panathinaikos” Yuri Lodygin spoke about the fight with his former partner in “Zenith” striker Artem Dzyuba.
The incident occurred in November 2016, when Zenit lost away to Krasnodar (1:2), conceding both goals in stoppage time.
Earlier, Lodygin recalled that the fight was started by Dziuba, who was dissatisfied with the actions of the goalkeeper of his team. As the latter said, they “bounced around, waved their hands”, after which they were separated by teammates.
– What is your relationship with Artem Dziuba?
– None. Maybe if we meet, we will communicate, greet each other, talk. But now we don’t talk.
You even had a fight with him.
– Well, yes, it was. But then everything calmed down. There were regular working relationships. Nothing really got worse. Maybe it got a little better, ”Lodygin told Sport24.
In the current season, Dzyuba plays for Lokomotiv Moscow.
On Wednesday, Zenit will host Dynamo Moscow as part of the second stage of the ¼ finals of the FONBET Cup of Russia. Watch the live broadcast of the match from 19:30 (Moscow time) on Match TV and MATCH PREMIER channels, as well as matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
