Lokomotiv veteran Sergey Gurenko told Euro‑Futbol.Ru that he considers the result of the match of the 20th round of the WORLD RPL with Krasnodar to be logical.
On Saturday, Lokomotiv defeated Krasnodar in the 20th round of the WORLD RPL with a score of 3:2, losing 0:2 after the first half.
– How do you evaluate the game of Lokomotiv in the match with Krasnodar?
– The first Lokomotiv failed there: they played very inertly, slowly, allowed the opponent a lot, gave him large spaces. The hosts didn’t look the best.
— What has changed after the break, when the railroad workers looked different?
– The substitutions made during the break contributed, because a completely different team went into the second half. In terms of emotions, desire, struggle, it was a different Lokomotiv. The hosts simply switched, began to play more aggressively, attacking. They had nothing to lose. And Krasnodar didn’t seem to feel the changes in Lokomotiv, so I think the result is natural.
– Maybe the guests just calmed down with the score 2:0?
– Yes. They thought the game would go along the same lines. But already in the first minutes, a scoring chance followed, then the hosts scored. While the “bulls” were recovering, they missed the second, and then the third. The game is almost over. “Krasnodar” remained in the minority, and did not seem to know what to do. The players began to huddle together, go through the center. And Lokomotiv acted calmly and competently. Apparently, he worked it out with Akhmat.
Lokomotiv is 11th in the Russian Championship with 22 points. Krasnodar (29) is eighth.
