“Non-summoning Dziuba to the Russian national team? We have already passed Cherchesov and Denisov” – Silkin

The head coach of the Russian national football team Valery Karpin is responsible for the team, so it is his business whether to take Artem Dzyuba to the team or not, former Dynamo head coach Sergei Silkin told Sport Day after Day.

The training camp of the national team will be held from 19 to 27 March. On March 23, Valery Karpin’s team will play a friendly match in Tehran with the Iranian national team. A control match with the Iraqi national team in St. Petersburg is scheduled for March 26.

– We have already gone through this: Cherchesov and Denisov, and now – Karpin and Dziuba. Well, people’s antipathy towards each other, that’s why it happens. Firstly, Dziuba is already 34 years old, and there are no eternal football players. Any person with age loses condition, quality. Of course, he is an experienced player, a scoring guy, he brings a lot of benefits to the team. Even in yesterday’s match, even though he didn’t score a penalty. He fights for balls, clings to the end. Every man to his own taste. The coach does not see him in the national team, but from what we will say … In the end, Karpin is responsible for the team, and it is his business – to take or not to take. We play friendly games at best, so what difference does it make who you invite?

– Do I need to call someone to replace Golovin and Miranchuk, who were injured the day before?

– You need to ask the coaching staff. How do they plan friendly matches: so that they have 11 people to play two matches or two different squads. The fact that someone is called in to replace it will definitely not make anyone worse, but it’s also not a good idea to carry 100 people.

According to the current limit, clubs RPL can include 13 foreign players in the application and release 8 foreign players on the field. In September, the Russian Football Federation said that the current limit allows for the first time to increase the playing time of young players to 18%.
