Defender Makarchuk will not help the Russian team in matches against the teams of Iran and Iraq
Sochi defender Artem Makarchuk left the Russian national team for health reasons, the press service of the national team reports.
“In agreement with the medical staff of FC Sochi, in connection with a viral infection, it was decided to release the player to the club’s location,” the press service of the Russian national team quotes Vladimir Khaitin, senior doctor of the Russian national team.
The Russian national team is holding a training camp before a friendly match with the Iranian team, which will be held on March 23 in Tehran. Earlier it became known that Aleksey Miranchuk, Alexander Golovin and Georgy Jikia were skipping the gathering.
