Former Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal has spoken out about the debate over the best player in the world between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The specialist noted that he is on the side of the Portuguese striker, because he is more of a team player than his Argentine counterpart.
Messi or Cristiano? It’s hard to choose between them. Ronaldo has more results than Messi in titles. Messi has more individual awards, but Ronaldo is more of a team player. Messi has made 32 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain this season in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and providing 18 assists. Ronaldo scored three goals and provided two assists for Manchester United before joining Al Nasr in January. He scored nine goals and provided two assists in 10 matches for Saudi Arabia.
