“There were a lot of skeptics, but Kokorin’s individual class decides the matches” – Nikolay Shpilevsky

The father of Aris head coach Alexei Shpilevsky Nikolai Shpilevsky admitted to RB Sport that he was pleasantly surprised at how professionally Alexander Kokorin treats his duties and enjoys his game.

– I initially said that Kokorin is one of the most talented Russian football players, – Shpilevsky shares. Everything depended on his desire to rehabilitate himself in front of everyone. I personally met Alexander and was very pleasantly surprised, he is very professional in his duties, in training, he gets high from his game. He accepted all the requirements of the coach, fulfills new tasks, because the team plays vertical aggressive football. It surprises the amount of work he does, he fully works for the team and the team works for him. And the individual class of Kokorin decides the matches. Although there were a lot of skeptics even in my social circle. I made it clear to everyone that time will tell.

Kokorin, whose rights belong to the Italian Fiorentina, plays for Aris in the 2022/23 season on loan.

The 32-year-old player in the Cypriot club played 23 matches in which he scored 11 goals and made five assists.

INFANTINO: “If there was no FIFA, there would be no football in 150 countries of the world”

FIFA President Gianni Infantino He commented on World Cup ticket prices, saying they reflected “absolutely insane” demand for next summer’s tournament:

“We have six to seven million tickets and in 15 days we received 150 million ticket requests. So every day we have 10 million requests. This shows how strong the World Cup is.”

FIFA has sold just 44 million tickets in almost 100 years of the World Cup. So we were able to sell tickets for the 300th anniversary of the World Cup in two weeks. Just imagine. “This is absolutely crazy.”

Infantino also noted that funds from ticket sales would be reinvested into world football, but did not specify a specific amount:

“The important thing is that the revenue from this goes back into football around the world. If it weren’t for FIFA, there would be no football in 150 countries of the world. Football exists thanks to the revenues we get from the World Cup, and we reinvest that into football around the world.”

Previously, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called on FIFA to further reduce 2026 World Cup ticket prices.
