“It is a pity that we will leave the RPL. A club with such a history may be lost” – the son of Streltsov about “Torpedo”

Igor Streltsov, the son of the famous Soviet football player Eduard Streltsov, expressed his regret at the dismissal of Andrei Talalaev from the post of head coach of the Moscow Torpedo.

On Wednesday, the press service of the Moscow club reported that Talalaev left the post of head coach of the team. The agreement with the 50-year-old specialist was terminated by mutual agreement of the parties.

– A new broom has arrived – it sweeps in a new way, as usual. Frequent change of coaches will not lead to anything good. I don’t know what happened to them there: maybe something was not shared in sports matters.

All this can come from a lack of funds. Kolyvanov correctly said that the team had to be strengthened even when they were just entering the RPL. How many matches were lost with a score of 0:1 or 1:2 – a football score, but they did not use so many chances that they should have won.

It’s a pity, of course. Talalaev let the team down normally. And now there are no such coaches who pulled out and saved the team. It is a pity that we will leave the RPL. The main thing is that there is nothing bad. A club with such a history may be lost. But we believe, hope and support until the end, – said Streltsov “Championship”.

Talalaev headed Torpedo in October 2022. Avtozavodtsy with 10 points are in last place in the WORLD standings of the Russian Premier League (RPL). In the next round of the Russian Championship, the Black-and-Whites will meet Rostov on the road on April 2.
