The Russian top club shamefully lost to amateur bloggers. CSKA, what was that?!

The media football league made itself known last year when several clubs from there were lit in the Russian Cup. But it’s one thing to beat the teams of the Second League, and quite another to defeat one of the leaders of the RPL. This is exactly what happened on Saturday at the VEB Arena.

Former coach of the Russian national team Igor Korneev called the incident a “disgrace”. CSKA, what was that?!

Foundation in the ranks

It cannot be said that the army team entered the field with some kind of reserve squad. Vladimir Fedotov put Chalov, Shchennikov, Mukhin, Zabolotny, Kuchaev, Zdelar, Gayich as the basis. All these players regularly play in the Russian championship, and many have experience playing in the Champions League. In general, the base was in order.

Chalov is the star of our football and one of the best scorers in the RPL. By the way, Fedor just looked good in this meeting and often created great chances himself. In the end, the striker even managed to score, but before that, 2DROTS players scored twice.

Surprisingly, at certain moments of the game it was simply not clear where the RPL team was on the field and where the amateurs were. After the final whistle, 2DROTS coach Dmitry Kuznetsov (by the way, a former soldier) was asked if his ward should try himself in the Russian championship. However, the bloggers coach honestly admitted that for this you need to have your own school, stadium and much more. 2DROTS does not yet have such an infrastructure, and it is unlikely that it will appear in the foreseeable future.

“Disgrace and disrespect to yourself!”

The defeat of CSKA in a friendly match caused heated discussions in the press. So, the former coach of the Russian national team and ex-football player of the army club Igor Korneev was frankly annoyed by the game of the RPL representatives.

– I consider it unacceptable when professionals lose to amateurs! At any level, including friendly games! This result is, first of all, disrespect for yourself! Disgrace! Korneev told Match TV.

The ex-football player of the Russian national team and the Moscow Lokomotiv Dmitry Tarasov was more restrained in his assessments and urged not to attach much importance to the result. Dmitry is sure that in an official meeting, Fedotov’s wards would not allow themselves such laxity.

– For media football and the 2DROTS team, it’s a big plus that they were able to beat such a professional team. The score on the scoreboard will go down in the history of Russian football.

For CSKA it was a more friendly match, they set big goals for the RPL, and there probably wasn’t the necessary motivation. And I can imagine the motivation of the guys from 2DROTS, they went to this match as the last final. The guys were more charged, motivated. You can talk a lot, but if it was a match in the championship or the Cup, the motivation of CSKA would be different and they would definitely win, – Tarasov is quoted by Match TV.

2DROTS midfielder Alex Stil stated that he did not experience much difficulty in the game. Of course, bloggers are aimed at bright statements and often give out provocative things, but CSKA players allowed them to do this. The defeat at home stadium with a solid audience in the stands is a headline in itself. Yes, for the army team, the result was not so important, but the problem was different: there was no insane difference between professionals at the level of the Russian national team and amateurs. And this is a big blow for our football.
