“Unfortunately, my autumn forecasts for Rotor come true” – Shcherbachenko

The former sports director of Rotor Fedor Shcherbachenko summed up the results of the central match of the 21st round of the group 1 of the Second League between Rotor and Chornomorets (0:0), noting that the meeting turned out to be tense.

– It turned out to be quite a tense meeting. Naturally, she had a certain subtext, and such matches require strong psychological preparation. The game went with the advantage of Chornomorets, despite the natural field. As far as I know, the Novorossiysk club is now having difficulties with natural turf, although they may have practiced somewhere on it. However, in the second half of the second half, Chornomorets simply crushed Rotor. It is characteristic that at the end of the match the players of Chornomorets were in a hurry, and the players of Rotor understood that a draw was a positive result for them and they could hardly claim more. Therefore, after the final whistle, Chornomorets was disappointed, but not Rotor. This is the main indicator of how different these teams’ preparation, motivational part and coaching component are today.

The organization of the game at Chornomorets was much better than that of Rotor. At the beginning of the season, Chornomorets was not considered at all as a contender for promotion, unlike SKA, Chaika, Forte and Rotor. Accordingly, the teams and players were selected. The current metamorphosis of Chernomorets testifies to the fact that it manages its resources correctly. The advantage that Chernomorets had in the match with Rotor speaks of much better work of the coaching staff in the Novorossiysk club than in Volgograd. In this context, the composition of “Chernomorets” is currently inferior to the composition of “Rotor” in terms of rating.

Unfortunately, my autumn forecasts come true. What I raised the question in October is just being manifested today. I’m talking about those moments that did not suit me in Rotor as a sports director. Problems arose there much earlier, but they boiled up by October. This is both the low quality of the game and the lack of entertainment in football, which Rotor demonstrates. Moreover, this is with very good support from the fans, with excellent conditions for the team, with the largest budget, with a margin from other clubs in the tournament.
