The Russian national team beat the Iraqi team and won the first home victory in a year and a half
The Russian national football team won a home victory over the Iraqi team in a friendly match.
The meeting, which took place at the Gazprom Arena stadium in St. Petersburg, ended with a score of 2:0. Anton Miranchuk (50th minute) and Sergey Pinyaev (58th) distinguished themselves in the national team. In stoppage time for the second half, Daler Kuzyaev received a direct red card.
Pinyaev (18 years 4 months 24 days) became the youngest scorer in the history of the Russian national team, breaking the record of Dmitry Sychev (18 years 6 months 23 days). Defender Daniil Denisov also made his debut for the Russian national team, playing a full match.
