Former Soviet and Russian football player Dmitry Karsakov believes that Russian national team striker Sergei Pinyaev has all the data to become the new leader of the national team.

The Russian national team on Sunday in St. Petersburg in a friendly match defeated the Iraqi team with a score of 2:0. The score was opened by Anton Miranchuk in the 50th minute. Sergey Pinyaev doubled the advantage on the 58th and was replaced by the 71st. Pinyaev became the youngest goal scorer in the history of the Russian national team – 18 years 4 months 24 days.

– I have known Sergey Pinyaev for a long time – he was still 10-12 years old then. A person is progressing, one can only rejoice for him. It is clear that we need to see how he will play against the top teams. I would be interested to see him against the French team. But at the moment it stands out – it’s very nice. This season, Pinyaev has played 21 matches for Samara’s Krylya Sovetov and Moscow’s Lokomotiv, scoring five goals and providing three assists.
