“The amount of agency payments in the RPL in 2022 is small, in England about 300 or 400 million euros” – Alexey Safonov

Football agent Alexei Safonov said that the amount of remuneration of RPL clubs to intermediaries for 2022 was small due to the deterioration in the quality of players.

The total amount of remuneration paid to intermediaries in 2022 by football clubs amounted to 1.144 billion rubles, 1.04 million dollars and 23 million euros. Football players paid 117 million rubles to intermediaries.

– The amount of remuneration to intermediaries in the RPL in 2022 is small. In England, about 300 or 400 million euros. In Russia, the market has dipped, and foreigners hardly come to us. The quality of the players has deteriorated, it’s another matter when you sell Ronaldo.

The amount of agency fees has decreased due to the fact that the quality of the players has become worse, and the clubs have less money. Until the political situation returns to normal, nothing will get better. I repeat, foreigners stopped going to the RPL, the clubs began to suffer losses. It doesn’t happen that everyone incurs losses, and football agents are in the black, everything is interconnected here,” Safonov told Metaratings.ru.

The leader among RPL clubs in terms of agency payments for 2022 was Spartak, which paid 4.817 million euros, almost 268 million rubles and 36.6 thousand dollars.
