“If they don’t return to Europe, I’m ready to perform in Asia. Well, what to do? Do not play with the Medialeague team” – Tyukavin

Striker of Dynamo Moscow and the Russian national team Konstantin Tyukavin told Sport24 that he is ready for a possible transition of Russian football from UEFA to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), because the main thing for him is game practice.

At the end of December, the RFU executive committee raised the issue of a possible transfer of the organization to the AFC. Later, a working group was created with the participation of representatives of UEFA and FIFA, the purpose of which is to develop a roadmap for the return of Russian teams to international tournaments.

– Do you represent the Russian team in the AFC? You have many years of career ahead of you – are you ready to play in Asia all this time?

– I have a simple position on this issue: the main thing is to play. If we are not returned to Europe, I am ready to play in Asia. Well, what else to do? It’s not easy to get together and play with the Medialeague team.

Tyukavin, 20, has made 28 appearances this season, scoring 9 goals and 3 assists.
