“Come here! Be a man!”

On April 1, on the football field of the Moscow Burevestnik stadium, which is not far from the Park Kultury metro station, a match was held between the capital’s student teams MIREA and RGUFKSMiT (aka GTSOLIFK). The game was suddenly interrupted after a hard tackle by one of the players.

The episode led to an emotional showdown. Gradually, verbal “attacks” grew into a mass brawl. Seeing what was happening, the players from the neighboring field from the Sechenov University team joined the brawl.

The showdown on the football field subsided several times and resumed again. Arms, legs and other parts of the body were used. Athletes did not particularly adhere to masculine principles and attacked each other from the back. Some even walked across the lawn with a bloody nose. Threats were heard in the air against the opponents.

Who are you two running into? Come here! I’ll turn your jaw the other way. Who hit me from behind? Be a man, come out with me! shouted one of the angry players.

One of the participants in the incident was seriously injured. According to Baza, the injured player was diagnosed with a broken nose. Law enforcement officers had to be called to the scene of the conflict to calm the raging football players.

petty hooligans

As a result of the proceedings, 16 participants in the fight were brought to the police. The three most zealous fighters were issued administrative protocols for petty hooliganism. The maximum possible punishment for such an offense is 15 days. However, if the information about the fracture of the nose is true, then petty hooliganism can easily be reclassified as causing intentional harm to health, and this is already a criminal article and the prospect of a real term.

Five teams competed at the student tournament that day. The only team that did not take part in the mass brawl was the RANEPA, as the university team reported on their social networks. Peacefulness helped the students of this university to become the winners of the tournament, as the players of other teams were disqualified for participating in a brawl.
