Former Lokomotiv striker Dmitry Bulykin believes that forward Artem Dzyuba deserved an extension of the contract with the Moscow team, but for a maximum of a year with the possibility of extension.

Dzyuba on Saturday scored a double in the match of the 21st round of the WORLD RPL with the Nizhny Novgorod “PARI NN” (4: 0).

– Against PARI NN, Loko played just fine. Dziuba is handsome. He motivated himself very well: he scores important goals, and most importantly, he helps Lokomotiv. And the team itself looks great after the winter break: the management made the right transfers, and the coach did a good job. You can applaud everyone: four victories in a row after the winter break speak volumes. To be honest, I’m surprised how the team has stabilized after the disastrous autumn part of the championship. All well done: the club’s employees, the players, the coaching staff, and the management.

Dziuba showed himself very well in the first games after the break. He helped Lokomotiv a lot and deserved a contract extension. But he is an older player. I believe that at this age, a contract under the 1 + 1 scheme is the maximum that can be offered so that the player does not relax, ”Bulykin said to the Championship.

Dziuba joined the railroad in February. The 34-year-old scored six goals in six matches for the team.
