Chelsea sack Graham Potter as manager 7 months after appointment

Chelsea announced the departure of Graham Potter as head coach of the team.
Bruno Saltor, who was part of Potter’s coaching staff, was appointed interim head coach of the team.
– During the time at the club, Graham Potter took us to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where we will meet with Real Madrid. Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contributions and wish him all the best for the future.
Potter’s team lost to Aston Villa in the match of the 29th round of the Premier League (0:2). This is the first defeat of the Blues in the last 5 matches. In this segment, the Londoners scored 3 wins and 1 draw. Chelsea will play the next match on April 4 – the team will host Liverpool.
After 28 matches played, Chelsea scored 38 points and is 11th in the Premier League standings. Potter has been with the London team since September 2022 following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.
