Elche filed a complaint with the Spanish Football Federation and demanded that Barcelona receive a forfeit defeat in their recent La Liga match which ended in a 4-0 victory for the Catalans.
Elche believes that Barça had no right to let the midfielder enter the field in this match Gavi. The club points out that the court earlier withdrew its decision to register Gavi as a Barcelona first-team player, meaning he would not be able to take part in the match.
It is curious that earlier in La Liga and the Spanish Federation they commented on this episode, noting that Gavi’s appearance on the field was legal. Despite this, Elche still filed a complaint.
