The English Football Association (FA) has officially filed a complaint against Liverpool in connection with the players’ behavior in the 29th round match Premier League against Manchester City (1:4).
The players of the “red” in the 34th minute of the game surrounded the head referee Simon Hopperemotionally demanding the departure of the Citizens midfielder Rodri for a foul on an attacker Cody Gakpo. The Spaniard at that moment already had a yellow card. The FA said in a statement that Liverpool had failed to ensure the correct behavior of the players and the club must respond by Wednesday 12 April.
Head coach of the city Joseph Guardiola will not be penalized for celebrating a goal in front of Liverpool substitutes.
