Rostov football player Glebov avoided additional punishment for sending off in a match with Torpedo

The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (FTC RFU) did not disqualify Rostov captain Danil Glebov, head of the committee Artur Grigoryants told Match TV.

Nevertheless, the player will miss one match due to the removal he earned in the game of the 21st round of the WORLD RPL with Torpedo (2: 1). At the 42nd minute of the match, Glebov was sent off for a foul against Ivan Enin.

– After the junction, Enin continued the game, but later he was replaced. We received all the necessary documents, the traumatic case was not indicated in the match report and the report of the delegate. We turned to Torpedo to find out if there was an injury. The club did not submit either a medical report or a certificate of incapacity for work. The meeting was attended by a lawyer who said that the footballer is starting training in the general group.

Glebov took part in the meeting and said that he apologized to Enin many times. Enin himself had previously said that no additional disqualification should be accepted against Glebov. We studied the video materials, heard Glebov and the clubs. Taking into account all the circumstances, we decided that Glebov would miss one game, – the Match TV correspondent reports the words of Grigoryants.

In the next rounds, Rostov will play with Orenburg (April 10), Zenit (April 16), Ural (date to be determined), Spartak (date to be determined).

INFANTINO: “If there was no FIFA, there would be no football in 150 countries of the world”

FIFA President Gianni Infantino He commented on World Cup ticket prices, saying they reflected “absolutely insane” demand for next summer’s tournament:

“We have six to seven million tickets and in 15 days we received 150 million ticket requests. So every day we have 10 million requests. This shows how strong the World Cup is.”

FIFA has sold just 44 million tickets in almost 100 years of the World Cup. So we were able to sell tickets for the 300th anniversary of the World Cup in two weeks. Just imagine. “This is absolutely crazy.”

Infantino also noted that funds from ticket sales would be reinvested into world football, but did not specify a specific amount:

“The important thing is that the revenue from this goes back into football around the world. If it weren’t for FIFA, there would be no football in 150 countries of the world. Football exists thanks to the revenues we get from the World Cup, and we reinvest that into football around the world.”

Previously, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called on FIFA to further reduce 2026 World Cup ticket prices.
