UEFA has formed an advisory board of coaches and former players

Uefa created an advisory board, which will include well-known coaches and ex-footballers.

This body will deal with issues relating to the use of VAR, rules, refereeing, tournament management, player welfare, tactics, calendar and youth player development.

Former AC Milan and Croatian national footballer Zvonimir Boban will lead the council. At present, 20 committee members have been approved, including – Carlo Anchelotti, Paul Maldini, Fabio Cappello, Javier Zanetti, Louis Figo, Philip Lam, Ronald Kuman, Michael Laudrup, Raffaele Benitez, Roberto Martinez, Predrag Mijatovic, Jurgen Klinsman, Rudy Feller, Peter Cec, Juan Mata AND Robbie Kean. Also invited Patrick Viera AND Didier Drogba.

Also, the Council may include Jose Mourinho, Zinedine Zidane, Rio Ferdinando AND Gareth Southgate.

The first meeting of the body will be held on 24 April.
