Chelsea decide to appoint Lampard as coach after consulting TV presenter – media

Chelsea owner Todd Bowley has consulted with TV presenter James Corden regarding the appointment of Frank Lampard as the team’s head coach, according to The Sun.
According to the publication, Bowley turned to his friend Corden for advice, the presenter proposed the candidacy of Lampard, whom he knows from working together on a television show.
On April 6, Chelsea announced the appointment of Lampard as head coach of the team. The 44-year-old specialist replaced Graham Potter. On Saturday, the Blues lost to Wolverhampton in an away match of the 30th round of the English Championship (0:1).
Chelsea are 11th in the Premier League with 39 points.
