Linesman Konstantin Hatzidakis elbowed Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson during the half-time match of the 30th round of the Premier League with Arsenal.
Hatzidakis was on his way to referee Paul Tierney after the whistle for the break. The Scot approached Hatzidakis and grabbed him. The referee pulled his hand back and, waving away the football player, struck him with an elbow. The Liverpool players surrounded the referee, and Robertson himself received a yellow card for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Sky Sports journalist Jeff Shrives reports that, according to the away team players, the referee elbowed Robertson.
The meeting at Anfield ended with the score 2:2. Arsenal continue to lead the Premier League table with 73 points, while Liverpool are eighth with 44 points.
