Case of assault on the Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde about the player “Villarreal” Alexa Baena it will be reviewed next week.
The State Commission for Combating Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sports will hold a meeting on April 17 to review the situation if information is received from the police. He should consider two documents: a medical report, which will characterize the damage caused to Baena’s left cheekbone, and a complaint received from the police about Valverde’s actions. Criminal proceedings are inevitable if the Villarreal player does not withdraw his application. The case may be limited to fines if the injury is recognized as minor (no surgery or treatment is required).
The commission can also refer the case to the Royal Spanish Football Federation, which can disqualify Valverde for 2-4 matches or independently punish the Real Madrid player – a ban on visiting sports facilities for a period of 1 to 6 months.
