Lokomotiv striker Artem Dzyuba shared his emotions after the defeat from Zenit in the match of the 22nd round of the WORLD RPL (1: 2), and also apologized to the fans for the team’s game.
On Sunday, Lokomotiv lost at home to Zenit in the 22nd round of the Russian Championship (1:2). Dzyuba, who previously played for Zenit, played a full match and was not marked by effective actions.
I would like to apologize for my game. Condition was not very good on my part. Maybe somehow burned out. It seems that he was internally calm, probably, there was some kind of state in his head. I wanted the team to win. Probably wanted too much.
It must have been a very interesting game today. Unfortunately, we lost. Right now it’s just so sickening, disgusting at heart. I sincerely believe that our team has character. There is everything to be stronger in the future. Let’s lose today, but we are with our heads held high. Let’s draw huge conclusions from this defeat. We are already competitive at the moment and play on an equal footing with the champion of the country. I hope that next season these young guys will become more mature, stronger and everything will be fine with them.
This is a huge lesson for us, especially for me. Because you need to calm down. You think that everything should work out, but in fact, it happens in life that it’s even worth losing once, stumble a lot and get such a good slap in the face, slap in the face. It can even become a big boost in your life and career. I decided to say it here because I don’t want to communicate with journalists. Tired of all this: you win – you are the king, they sing praises to you, you lose – you are “dead”, something else, ”Dzyuba said on the social network.
Lokomotiv is 11th in the Russian Championship standings with 25 points.
